PLOT EXAMPLES/ADOPTABLE PLOTS
This post is for generic player plot ideas that are open for anyone to grab for their player plotting or who wants examples of plot ideas. This is also a good place to list player plot ideas that you either don't have the time to run or are unfinished and you want to give them up so someone else can figure out how to flesh them out.
This list won't be updated. You can just volunteer player plot ideas in the comments and people can scroll through the comments for ideas if they're interested in picking up something to potentially run.
Let it Go
Though she has been dead for a century, some of the shards of the Snow Queen's mirror are still scattered around the world. After several people stumble on them and get them in their eyes and hearts, the Snow Queen is revived and starts plunging the world into an eternal winter. Making things even worse, some of the PCs get some of the shards in their eyes and hearts, plunging them into nihilistic mind control so that they turn against their fellow Guardians and serve the Snow Queen's whims. They must be freed and the Snow Queen must be stopped before the world is plunged into an eternal winter.
War of the Rings
The PCs will have to go to a version of DC universe to recover a reality shard, receive power rings from the various Corps, and help the Green Lanterns fight in the war against the Yellow Lanterns. This is the only way they can get the reality shard out of the possession of the Yellow Lanterns.
You Can't Get Rid of The Babadook
Whether it's in a word or in a look, you can't get rid of the Babadook. When a little boy watches the movie and is terrified by it, the Babadook comes to life and starts terrorizing him and his mother, making use of the guilt and anger they hold towards each other from the boy causing the accidental death of his younger brother the year before. Without powers, the gang must face the Babadook as it plays on their negative feelings and traumatic memories, trapped in an ever-expanding house of shadows, and help the mother and son reconcile and move past the trauma of their past.
Waters of Mars
The gang has a shard mission to a universes where the first human colonists have set foot on Mars. However, a faulty water filter means an ancient sentient virus has been released from the glacier below, one that infects people via just a single drop of water touching them and turns them into terrifying zombies that seek to find a way back to Earth to infect it.
Candle Cove
When Jamie tells the Guardians his sister is having nightmares about a TV show that doesn't exist, the gang must face down a parasitic creature that latches onto children through public access TV to feed on them and kidnap them.
Advanced Dungeons & Dragons
When a bullied little girls's imagination influences reality so that the world around her twists into a game of Dungeons and Dragons, the gang must take on roles and classes within the game to go into the twist of reality, fight the evil dragon inside, help the girl find her courage, and undo it.
In the Name of the Moon
When a scared little boys's love of magical girls twists reality around him to protect him from one of Kuk's lackeys, the gang must take on the roles of magical girls (boys included) to fight the threat, now transformed into a magical girl anime style villain, and protect him.
Jurassic World
The gang has a shard mission to a world that strips them of their powers, where the shard is located on a Costa Rican island that houses a very special amusement park. When disaster happens (as it naturally does) they find themselves fending off raptors and outrunning T-Rexes as they try to survive long enough to get the shard and go home.
IT Plot
A town in Maine magically turns into a the fictional town of Derry, Maine. Trapped in the town, all of the characters are deaged and must face Pennywise the Clown (either created from belief, or more terrifyingly, perhaps reaching into the world from a place where he's the real thing) and defeat him with no powers.

A shard in the form of a golden bell is in a small, placid English town! The problem? For the duration, all involved characters are geese (and a few ducks and swans if you wanna get little or fancy) and their powers are either null or basically limited to funny nuisances. The townsfolk object to birds stealing their bell and are faster and stronger than the characters in their anatid forms, but are also unwilling to harm them unless particularly harmed first - looks like you'll have to work together and sow chaos to get that shard out of here!

Everyone is teen-ified and has to gussy up to attend prom, and you have to come to prom with someone or you're not allowed in!! Once at prom, their mission is to protect Carrie on the first night where she feels like people might like her and things could be okay. Maybe influence the Prom King and Queen election so she and that nice boy don't go up on stage? Definitely do something about that bucket of blood, and however many other traps and humiliations have been set up. Maybe also ensure that if you do fail, or there happens to be a fire or something, there's an exit route?
carrie is sympathetic but it will go better for her and everyone if her revenge fantasies stay fantasy
